I Just Found Out Both of My Sisters of Diabetes.

I live out east. I was busy with my Fun Cool Collectibles business. I had let my contact with my family sort of get away from me. During my phone call on Christmas eve I found out that my oldest sister was a diabetic and had come within a few days of going into a diabetic coma. The doctor had rushed her into the emergency ward of the hospital. During the course of her stay in the hospital, she had developed a blister on one of her toes. The doctor had to amputate the toe.
She explained to me how she had been fed intravenously, and all the other symptoms of diabetes. This was quite a shock to me. Then she explained to me how my youngest sister was also a diabetic. She had been a diabetic for over a year now. This was also a shock to me. Here we were middle age over-weight sickies.

I was totally shocked by this information, and sort of wished that I hadn't of phoned. I explained "that is weird because there was no history of diabetes in our family history." "Well, yes there is," my sister tried to enlighten me, "four of dad's brothers were diabetics."

What a revelation. Here I had thought that our family was immune to this disease, but both of my sisters were dealing with diabetes. Chances for me to get this ailment have increased because of my family history. Believe me this has given me more incentive to lose weight now.
One of the keys to fighting diabetes is staying with a strict diet, and being at the proper weight. This family news has given me the determination to lose all the excess weight and to stick with a strict diet. .
